  Very happy with the performance of my BL28-40. I fired it up in Oct. 2014 and had a glitch as it boiled over periodically. This was due to my fill pipe not having a vent as it should have. My installer came back and fixed that problem and it has been great ever since. The overall construction is very good and my unit burns very clean. I did have a hinge break this year but that was a quick temporary fix. I called Brian at heat Smart and he is sending me out new hinges. The company seems very willing to make sure their customers are happy and that they are providing a good product.

  This was our 2nd outdoor wood boiler. We did our research and was even provided with a reference, which we went to see and talk to the owner about. He had owned two P&M boilers and was very happy with them. When we installed our new P&M boiler we immediately notice a huge difference between it and our old furnace. So much more efficient, a lot easier to clean (this is a definite bonus), much better air flow, like the fan (our old boiler didn't have) and easy to operate. Brian calls once a year to see how everything is working and has given us advice. There was some damage during shipping just minor dents which they have offered to replace but nothing that has made us regret our purchase, it's heating our house and shop right now!

  Our Portage & Main outdoor wood stove has met our expectations. After 25 years, our previous furnace was in need of repair so we opted to purchase a new one. After some research, we found this option and since it was Canadian made we decided to invest. Our home is 60 x 30 with an outbuilding 12 x 32. We heat both, plus supply all hot water needs to the house. The furnace is easy to load and the ash tray makes it easy to clean. We are very satisfied with our purchase . Janice & Peter

  After months and months of research I finally purchased a wood stove back in 2014 and it was a PM. I have had no regrets until this day. I can tell you that the customer service is second to none. I had a hinge bust on me and they didn't only send me one hinge but four hinges to replace the other three. Then one other instance I need a new gasket because they were still using the rope gaskets and it was wasn't pliable so I called them and they said they have new silicon gaskets and they sent me one out, but they didn't just send me one, they sent be three gaskets for all the doors. They have gone above and beyond. I highly recommend them. Hands down the best stove I've ever owned. I have the BL3444

  As a welder- fabricator I chose this stove over the many others that I checked out online and in person. Well thought out and designed. The customer service from Portage and Main has been great. They answered all of my questions and gave me several tips , as I set up my own stove. My Uncle , who is my neighbor, (downwind of my stove and also an outdoor stove owner) remarked to me today on how little my new P&M stove smokes and how impressed he was with that fact alone. My old outdoor stove was 27 yrs. old. I expect this one to outlast it . Many Thanks to Bryan at P&M .
