  had a lot of clunks, took it in, 1200 quote I said I will do some work my self, the owner then said "it might just be the bolt is loose on the control arm bushing"(not sure why they didn't check..) I took his word, ordered the parts online for 40percent of the price of his and took the car in again to have the steering shaft changed. The morning of the shaft job, I asked if they can check to see if that bolt is indeed loose before I change the control arm my self. they said, "the bolt was loose". and they tightened it free of charge. and turns out it was a good shaft, the rack needs to be changed now for 600( they told me this might be the case on the 1st day) well, all noises are gone now and it was just a loose bolt. Now if I wasn't the backyard mechanic that I am, and say I was elderly or a female, they would have paid the 1200 dollar bill, then the 800 for the rack and pinion job. So Adam would have made 2 grand when it was just a loose bolt. A 30 dollar fix. Now don't get me wrong, they do fine work, been here several times with no issues, but also this is the not first time I called perry's on their bulls&%t. I went back in that day to tell him this is not acceptable, and how he cost me a couple hundred in labor and parts ordered over a bolt. thinking he would just apologize like last time when he begged me to remove my last bad review(which I did, then he was a great mechanic for awhile) he just said it wasn't his fault, that he never got the go-ahead to check for a loose bolt(kinda why I took the car in dude) also he never asked if they could try tightening it nor did they suggest it until I was leaving and said I would do that part my self. Then he said he doesn't need my business in front of 4 customers, and that's the end of perry's for me I guess. It makes me sick that they tried this on me, and makes me worry how many poor elderly people he does this too.
